On The Other Side Of Grief
Some say that the loss of a beloved pet is one of life’s worst experiences. Stirring the same feelings as losing a dear family member or friend. For many of us our pets are our family, and best friend.
When you’ve just lost a dear pet, there seems to be nothing to ease the pain. The more recent the loss, the stronger the grief. This is when performing some sort of a memorial service will serve as a first step toward minimizing some of the initial pain.
Some people remove all the tangible items from sight that remind them of there loss. I think that’s a mistake. In this life we have three things. The first is right now! [the present] The second, our hopes and dreams of the future. The third, our treasured memories. Embrace those treasured memories, there all any us really have. When I would come home from work my best friend didn’t forget me.
