Fulfilling a Loved One’s Final Wishes
When my grandmother passed away earlier this year, everyone in our family had had plenty of time to prepare. We said our goodbyes and talked to her about her final wishes. As it turned out, she didn’t want to be interred in a traditional burial but preferred to be cremated. According to her instructions, we went through with the cremation and scattered some of her remains in her beloved Pacific Ocean.
Still, it was of the utmost importance that we held a worthy memorial service for the woman. She had done so much to shape our lives as children and to help raise us to be responsible, loving adults. The service was a tearful one, but there were many pleasant memories to be recounted as well. We had selected from among the finest handcrafted cremation urns to be found online, and I believe it will serve as a fitting final resting place.
Upholding the Memory of a Family Pet

Although it could be considered cliché, pets have a way of becoming part of the family. Faithful dogs are always ready and waiting to greet you when you return home from work, and they reserve a wet, slobbery kiss for the kids when they get off the school bus. Cats serve as warm, cuddly companions and the sight of them curled up on the couch is a cute one indeed.
When a beloved pet passes away – especially if it happens suddenly and without warning – the coping process may be difficult. There’s no shame in mourning the death of a pet because it’s really the least you can do to repay them for all the great times you shared. Pet cremation urns offer the perfect receptacle for a dog or cat’s remains, and they can be kept as a memorial keepsake to be cherished for years.
