Fulfilling a Loved One’s Final Wishes
When my grandmother passed away earlier this year, everyone in our family had had plenty of time to prepare. We said our goodbyes and talked to her about her final wishes. As it turned out, she didn’t want to be interred in a traditional burial but preferred to be cremated. According to her instructions, we went through with the cremation and scattered some of her remains in her beloved Pacific Ocean.
Still, it was of the utmost importance that we held a worthy memorial service for the woman. She had done so much to shape our lives as children and to help raise us to be responsible, loving adults. The service was a tearful one, but there were many pleasant memories to be recounted as well. We had selected from among the finest handcrafted cremation urns to be found online, and I believe it will serve as a fitting final resting place.
